Linda Varrell, APR

President/CEO

Linda Varrell is the founder and president of Broadreach Public Relations, a women-owned firm based in Portland, Maine. Established in 2007, Broadreach specializes in strategic and crisis communications, public relations, marketing, event services, and government relations working with clients across northern New England. Running on Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), the firm has nine employees and has served over 350 clients, completing more than 450 projects and earning 75+ industry awards.

Linda holds a bachelor’s degree in Leadership & Organizational Studies from the University of Southern Maine and a master’s in Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University, and she holds a certificate from the Goldman Sachs 10k Small Businesses program. Under her leadership, Broadreach has become a trusted partner across diverse sectors, known for delivering results and helping its clients build, protect, and preserve their reputational capital.

She is nationally accredited in Public Relations (APR) and holds the Edward Bernays Lifetime Achievement Award from the Maine Public Relations Council. She actively contributes to the community, serving on the boards of the Community Concepts Finance Corporation Loan Committee, LifeFlight of Maine Foundation, University of Southern Maine Foundation, Institute for Family-Owned Business, and Maine Press Association. An avid golfer and ski instructor, Linda teaches the women’s ski program at Sunday River Skiway, taking full advantage of Maine’s outdoors. She lives in Yarmouth with her husband and three golden retrievers, and enjoys time with her grandchildren.
