WESTBROOK, Maine (May 13, 2014) – The Maine Technology Users Group (MTUG) has announced the sponsors and keynote for the 27th annual Telecommunications and Computer Networking Conference, including SymQuest, one of the event’s Gold Sponsors and a workshop presenter in the Small Business IT track. Susan Corbett, owner and CEO of Axiom Technologies will deliver the keynote address on empowering rural economies to an expected 400 IT professionals attending to take the pulse of the IT industry in Maine and share knowledge.
“MTUG has a reputation as the premier conference in the state for business technology,” said Mark Jennings, SymQuest’s Senior Sales Director of Network Services. “Our selection to present in the Small Business IT track is an honor that places us in rare company.”
SymQuest, an award-winning IT company with dual headquarters in Westbrook, Maine and South Burlington, Vermont, is presenting a case study of its work with Butler Brothers, a manufacturing firm in Lewiston, Maine, with representatives from the company.
“The work we’re showcasing with Butler Brothers is a fantastic example of how IT can create strategic opportunities for small businesses,” commented Larry Sudbay, President and CEO of SymQuest. “As we continue to establish our Maine presence with headquarters in Westbrook and further expansion of our Lewiston facilities, we hope to bring this level of success to more small Maine businesses.”
The 2014 MTUG Conference features 15 workshops across 5 tracks: Security, Cloud, Unified Communications, Small Business IT, and “Techie Sandbox” (DIY technology/robotics). Workshops will be led or co-led by IT professionals at Maine-based organizations from a broad array of industry sectors.
