Scarborough Kitchen Tour and Beer/Wine Tasting to benefit Center for Grieving Children

SCARBOROUGH, MAINE (May 28, 2014)—More than ten of southern Maine’s most beautiful private homes will be open to the public over Father’s Day weekend. The Scarborough Sip & See is perfect for those seeking inspiration for their own home kitchen design or anyone simply interested in getting a glimpse inside some of the region’s most prestigious and interesting residences.

The Scarborough Sip & See will take place Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14, from 10 AM to 4 PM. The self-guided tour includes new homes representing a range of architectural and design styles, from traditional to Tuscan to ultra-modern and even a magnificent outdoor kitchen. Each home will offer guests a chance to sample craft beers and wines from some of Maine’s best-known brewers and vintners, along with up-and-coming brands, and tasty treats from notable local chefs and bakers.

Proceeds from Sip & See will benefit the Center for Grieving Children. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door, and are good for one or both days at Indisco Kitchen and Design, 197 US Route One, Scarborough, or at www.mainekitchentours.com.

Sip & See, presented by Down East Magazine and Indisco Kitchen & Baths, is part of the Divine Series of home tours, which also includes the Portland Kitchen Tour and the Holiday Home Tour. Supporting Sponsors include Distinctive Tile & Design, Home Again by Hancock Lumber, Hammond Lumber, Saco & Biddeford Savings, Wright Ryan, Broadreach Public Relations and Current Publishing.
