Title: Camden ready for toboggan races
The races bring teams from all over Maine and around the country, people eager to thumb their nose at winter and go hurtling down the 400-foot wooden chute onto Hosmer Pond. 
Some are serious racers, looking to set new speed records and go home with trophies. Others are there just to take a ride, show off a funny costume and enjoy themselves.
Race organizers tell us that teams are booked solid for both days, for all three classes. They even have a waiting list. But organizers say there will still be plenty of room for spectators at the Camden Snow Bowl. The weekend event is also a boost for the local economy, as hotels, inns and restaurants are usually filled for race weekend.
This being the 20th anniversary, they've also planned fireworks at the Snow Bowl, along with other festivities. Practice runs will be Friday, and the races start Saturday morning. There is more information about the races at the race website:
